Larmer Tree

Wide laurel-hedged rides radiate from the magnificent main lawn and take you to the tranquil woodland beyond. In spring there is a wonderful display of Camellias, and Rhododendrons. In high summer the hydrangea collection makes a striking display of colour, and towering over the ponds we have exceptionally fine and majestic Eucryphias. In autumn, the trees and shrubs, together with the woodland beyond, create a rich tapestry of colour. The Larmer Tree contains a wonderful collection of ornate buildings, with free-flying Macaws and roaming peacocks all retained in an enchanting and tranquil atmosphere.

Weddings

Our 11 acre garden and two halls, The Jubilee Hall and The New Pavilion, are available for Weddings and Receptions on an exclusive use basis, all year round. We offer the most unique setting for a relaxed and informal, quintessential English Country Wedding. Celebrate in the company of your family and friends with pimms, deck chairs and garden games in high summer; or with mulled cider, hot canapés and roast venison in deepest winter. Whatever the weather or season, you can dine in the stunning New Pavilion and dance until midnight in the comfort of our historic Jubilee Hall.

Established in 1880, The Larmer Tree provides a beautiful setting for your wedding reception after church, but also boasts five quirky buildings licensed for Civil Ceremonies – inside the New Pavilion, the Jubilee Hall and the General’s Room, or outside with the Roman Temple or the Lower Indian Room. The choice is wholly personal and will depend on your guest numbers, from just 6 to 140, but be assured we have total flexibility whatever the weather! Governed by Wiltshire Registrars in Salisbury, your legal fees will be in the region of £400 and you can personalise your ceremony with music and readings. Our wedding co-ordinator will be on site all day to ensure the smooth and relaxed running of your day.
